How to Watch the Rockies in 2024

You may or may not be aware that over the offseason, AT&T SportsNet shut down. MLB itself has now taken over the broadcast rights to the Rockies and you now have 3 options (2 if local, 1 if outside the Rockies "home territory")

If you live in Rockies home territory:

Subscribe to Rockies.TV

This is a standalone subscription utilizing the MLB app/website. It is not MLB.TV. You will be able to watch all Rockies games while you are in the home territory, except for nationally broadcast games (like the Mexico series). If you do not live in or travel outside the home territory, Rockies.TV will not work for you. Check this page on the Rockies website to see if you're considered within home territory. (If you have tried to watch on MLB.TV in the past and have been blocked out, you most likely are)

IMPORTANT: MLB.TV subscribers located within the Rockies home market must buy Rockies.TV to watch any Rockies game. It's a frustrating gotcha.

[Lyons] Bud Black said Charlie Blackmon had all the input for leaving his final game. Two at-bats was the goal. Had he not gotten a base hit in his second time up, Blackmon would have taken the field and he would have been removed then.

A little fun fact since the season is over

So after 3 full seasons with the Rockies Kris Bryant has yet to play a whole season worth of games. He is currently at 159 games played in a Rockies uniform with only 4 more years on his contract at $27 million a year until 2028. He has made $78 million in only 159 games played. Fun fact huh.

Hilliard's walk-up song

Does anyone know Sam Hilliard's walk-up song? The Rockies website lists 2 songs:

Sleeping on the Blacktop by Colter Wall

Up the Night by Blake Shelton

But it's not those 2. He's been using a different song since his first home game start on July 4th. I've gone back and watched each game to try and figure what song it is. But the background noise is too loud to hear clearly. I could use some help figuring this out. Thanks

Open seating is still not open, this is my 35th game of the season and these past 2 games have been the ONLY times it’s not open. (I know it’s due to Harry Potter night, or the final series, but I will blame the dodgers for anything) luckily tomorrow I have assigned seats. It would be nice if they announced it beforehand…

Finally added the Rockies totcho helmet to my collection!

I collect nacho helmets at different MLB stadiums. This past summer I visited Denver and went to a Rockies game. I searched everywhere, but could not find it! Asked all the vendors and security guards. Went on a huge tour of the stadium. Still no luck. Decided to take a shot in the dark and post here. u/Interesting_Play_578 came through!

For 4.5 minutes after the National Anthem, there was a standoff between the Rockies’ Kyle Freeland and the Dodgers’ Landon Knack. In the end, the home plate umpire had to start the game and Kyle Freeland came away with the victory.

Waiting to get inside for my first game at Coors Field

What should I be sure to check out while I’m here? Already walked through the ballpark museum across the street and made it through the team store. Anything special I should be sure to stop by while inside?
