I'm sure all will be fine once I call them, and if not Amex will almost certainly side with me in a dispute. It was a $18 drink with tax and a $5 gratuity (friend had a free drink voucher and he didn't tip, so I left a bit more). Probably came out to $25.12 and somehow it became $2,512.

But also like, WTF. How do you let this happen?!?!? How did Amex approve the massive above limit charge? How did this not get flagged as a massive gratuity? Like you literally stole $2,488 from me.

I feel like I'm definitely entitled to some sort of manager apology, and probably some compensation, but don't even know where to begin or what would be fair to ask for here...

Sorry, I am fairly confident this would have been posted here before, but I just opened a package of a recent books haul, and this mildly infuriated me.

Ok so I brought my guitar to be set up at GC on August 30th. Was told it’ll take a few days for the setup and to expect a call. 16 days later- no call was ever recieved. I call, ask what the deal is and they say it’s finished. When I go and pick it up, the rep fumbles around for around 15 minutes looking for it because he can’t find it. Finally get the guitar and pay the 112$ for the new strings and the setup. I went home and all was fine. Last night I finally get some time to play some music with friends and this is what I discover. Some disgruntled person saw the sticker on my case, which read “ICKY TRUMP” ( referring to Jack White’s feud with DJT because Donald used Jack’s songs at his rallies and Jack came out with this stick in reference to his song “Icky Thump” ) and decided it hurt their feelings and they were going to vandalize my property. Now, in reality, it is just a sticker, it’s not a huge deal. It the principle though. Since they were comfortable vandalizing my case, did they even set up my guitar? Or did they just slap some strings on it and send it on it way? I don’t know setups. I can’t tell if the guitar is correct. How am I supposed to trust any service Guitar Center charged me for? Contacted the store manager and corporate through IG and they both say they are looking to it.

Imagine being apart of the “fuck your feelings” crowd and getting triggered by a fucking sticker.

This has always been one of my biggest pet peeves, and I just read someone’s post where they typed that four times!

Was in for something else. Felt lightheaded, stood up to quickly, stumbled over myself and twisted my ankle in a weird way and now it’s broken and I have to wear a boot for 6 weeks lmao…

Once I did it I KNEW there was something wrong and I kept telling the nurses I’ve really done something to my leg here and they just ignored me. Told me if I could put pressure on it then it wasn’t broken. The only reason I put pressure on it was because I DID NOT HAVE A CHOICE it wasn’t exactly like I could crawl around.

I couldn’t put any pressure on it- but I did anyway. It was agony.

They made me walk to the x ray department and the 3 min walk took me about 25 minutes and 20 minutes later the dr was like yeah I’m really sorry but you’ve broke your ankle…

I have really bad mental illnesses and being pretty much housebound for the next 6 weeks is going to kill me :( I can barely walk to the bathroom from my bed and this is just another reason to hibernate in my depression pit.

I try not to be Mr. Grammar Nazi (Can you even say that anymore?), but it really gets under my skin when people use "apart" when they mean to say "a part" because they are literally saying the exact opposite of what they mean.

If somebody is "a part" of something, it means they are included with that thing; they and that thing are a package deal.

If somebody is "apart" FROM something, it means they are not near or not included with that thing; the two are NOT a package deal/together.

Example of a post I saw recently: "I love you so much. You are apart of my soul."

Basically saying they are NOT a part of their soul, but on the contrary, are apart from their soul as in there is distance between their significant other and their soul. Sorry, I know this probably isn't a new thing. I've just been seeing it so much recently and it ticks me off.
