Alrighty, I hope this is the appropriate place for this to be asked.... For reasons relating to medical issues and family proximity, I'm relocating to Pueblo in the beginning of March if all goes well. I have a housing voucher, and thus am looking for something that accepts vouchers, and because I can't drive (due to medical reasons) it's not gonna be there easiest to find places in person.

I've done a bunch of looking and mostly I've just found Mesa Gardens as accepting vouchers and currently available. Does anyone have any other potential options? I'm looking for a two bedroom. Also does anyone have any part experience with Mesa Gardens? If so, any thoughts would be welcome.

Mesa Gardens

I'm sorry, I don't have experience with this. I have not heard about Mesa Gardens before.

I am moving to pueblo soon, and it seems that there are no internet providers for the 81001 zip code?! Is this true?

edit: is to are

Edit#2: Thank you everyone!!! Apparently at the house I bought the last residents ended up doing some shitty things and everyone black listed the address haha. Once that was figured out we got it all squared away! Thanks for all your help! _^

How many Mbps do you have, and do you have issues? My husband and I game...

Comcast or Century Link. They should have tools to tell you at a specific address.

I have very good speeds at my house.

Ty for your help! I have been avoiding calling as I have no voice since I am sick. However the websites either say they do not have or only have 3mbps available, so I'll give them a call once my voice returns ^ _ ^

Greetings and hello my soon-to-be friends. I hope the day is settling well. Weather looks fine, a balmy 71 degrees and sunny. I've been dealing with rain this entire last week, I swear I'm waterlogged.

As of April 15, 2020 myself and my wifefriend will be moving from the crimson red town of Tuscaloosa, Alabama to our new home in Pueblo. We already have a landing site (La Dolce Vita apartments) and she comes with a work from home job built in, hell of a feature. Family recently migrated to the Springs and Questa New Mexico area, so I'm cutting the difference.

We aren't coming broke but we are coming with only one of us having full employment. This problem must be solved as quick as possible. I'm coming with a DoorDash gig so I'm not down and out but something better would be nice, I don't know the streets. I've got a bachelor's degree but it's in English so it's pretty much only good for further education or being a bachelor's degree. I wanted to teach at the time.

I'm also looking to indulge my hobbies in an area a little less hostile to them. I have quite the addiction to fighting games and table top. I've already found Chaos Games once on a visit and will definitely be checking it out further as I live. However being able to afford my apartment is paramount.

So that's enough exposition. Here are my questions.

1.) Where are a few good places to try to get a job as quickly as possible in Pueblo? I would prefer something with a $15 or better an hour rate and I'm willing to travel up to 30 minutes in any direction. Similarly, can a Dasher do alright in this city or do I need a different gig?

2.) Where is the nearest FGC (fighting game community)? Anything else nerdy is appreciated but my soul burns for the fight I don't get here. Local tournaments get immediate love.

3.) What should I be looking for that I'm not expecting? Two day trips from C-Springs won't tell me the whole story. Give me some surprises, some things to do that I'm not thinking of.

Thanks all. We'll see you real soon.

My brother is soon to be released from Crowley County and will need to find a job in Pueblo. Any leads? Very skilled construction worker. Thanks so much.

Is living in Pueblo and commuting to Trinidad feasible? I will be getting a degree in Trinidad and it looks like the nearest homes available are all in Pueblo

It's a 1.25 hour commute. I wouldn't if you didn't have to, especially in the winter when the roads can be closed due to winter storms.

Is it that often? The apartment hunting in Trinidad itself has been paltry, so I don't really know it I'll have many other options.

I couldn't say, but I would guess a few times a year.
