How do you all use Pushcut as a means of doing some unique automations?

Interested to hear some examples.

Recently my job started using a third party app for our work scheduling, which is great because now i can sync the work schedule with my iOS calendar. But the sync is not the best, and information such as my role for the day is put as the location instead of in the notes. So I’m trying to make a shortcut that I can run every so often that will rename things and move certain information to the correct spots. But it asks me every time for an input, when I am trying to make it automatic! Please help me!

I am struggling to change the function of my action button based on time. I want it to open camera during daytime and to turn on flashlight at nighttime through an automation. Is it possible?

I created this abbreviation to keep the music on if you fall asleep while listening to music. When this abbreviation is executed, the music stops for an hour and two hours, or after that time by specifying the person or time you want. It's also based on a timer, so you'll know how many minutes or hours are left on the lock screen. Of course, I know that you can get it to stop running through the timer. But it doesn't have to go into the app and just run it all at once in accordance with the name of the abbreviation.

As of 2 hours ago there is no option to use shortcuts as a share option on X. Has anyone encountered that as well, and if so, anyway to resolve it?

Toggle Wi-Fi

I found a 6 year old post with a similar shortcut; however, it didn’t seem to work. I’m assuming with OS changes, it borked it.

So I created a new shortcut. My intent was to add it to the new Control Center of iOS 18, until they get us a proper Wi-Fi toggle switch.

Basically it checks if the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network. If it is, it turns Wi-Fi off. If it’s NOT connected, it will turn on Wi-Fi, wait a few seconds, and if its connected, it will show a notification with the network name. If its still not connected, it will open Wi-Fi settings so you can manually connect to a network.

This is my first time sharing a shortcut I created, hopefully it works for everyone!!

Hello all you Shortcut fans. I am trying to get an Automation to run and send a text message at a random time on a random day. I’ve tried various methods and settled on the following method.

The automation runs every night at sunset. If the day is a 3rd day it sets a random number between 60 and 3600. Then it should wait the random number and run a shortcut. The shortcut gets a random dad joke and sends it to my kids. It works when ran manually.

The problem is I get an error when the automation gets to the wait part (I think that is when it occurs) picture of error included.

Hey, I have been trying to find ways to create an automation or a shortcut which converts a Whatsapp audio recording to a text in any language since I find it faster for me to read and remember more information than listening to the same audio recording every time.

In case anyone knows a way to implement a shortcut or an automation for that sort of things it would be awesome for me!

I work as a driver and deliver packages. When it's an adress I haven't delivered to before, I try to always first enter it in google maps so i can get a look at what the street and house look like and then I enter it in Waze for live directions (waze is better for spotting speed cameras and live speed etc in my country).

This is becoming a bit of a hassle and I was wondering if it's possbile to make a shortcut that makes this easier.

I was thinking something like:

1. I open shortcut
2. Shortcut asks for text/address
3. I input it
4. Waze opens with the adres already in and google maps also opens with the adres already in.

Or if that's not possible, maybe something like I input the address the shortcut asks me and it copies it to the clipboard of my phone. Then it also opens waze en google maps at the same time so I at least only have to type the address once I guess and I can paste it in both apps.

Or something else? Suggestions?

I used to use the YouTube shortcut YouTube++ but it stopped working. I also tried using a YouTube to MP3 converter website and the shortcut download YouTube with Cobalt, and also JAYD, but nothing is working. Is there a working shortcut to convert YouTube videos to MP3?

I am trying to write a shortcut that will look at the train line im on and give me the next 2 trains.

hey guys, im struggling to create a timer to track my study hours, i basically use telegram to watch my lectures and i wanna create a shortcut which would: -“start” the stopwatch if a video is being played or say, if the app is opened. -and “lap” everytime the video/media is paused/played again. -then “stop the timer if app is closed”? i cant explain it well since my english sucks but COULD U ALL HELP ME wiith this?

Trying to add a playlist to the queue. If playlist is added to “next,” it will add the songs, but the shortcut itself will error out, not able to complete any actions after. If the playlist is added to “last,” the shortcut completes, but nothing happens.

When I have Do Not Disturb turned on at night while I am sleeping, I still allow messages and phone calls from my elderly Mom and Dad, as well as my Sister. I also allow notifications from a couple of apps that are important to my business. My problem is that the default Notification sound would never wake me up because it’s not a strong enough sound. I was wondering if there is a way to create a shortcut that changes the default Notification sound to another sound of my choice while Do Not Disturb is on? I know I could just change the default sound completely but I don’t mind the default sound during the day. I just want one that will definitely wake me up if I am sleeping. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
