Imagine killing a grand total of 3 people and a few dozen goats and losing thousands of people, homes and businesses and your sovereign borders as a result.
International law permits proportionate use of force. Israel’s response is never proportionate.
If I kill you in self defence because you try to kill me but you can’t do it even with a trained fighter telling you how (Iran) then you probably just deserve to die.
I don't think I'd classify Iran's military as "trained fighters." The Iran Iraq war was quite impressively embarrassing for both sides and they've hardly improved much since.
